🚗 Appointments, Outings & Getting Back Into Life

Support for stepping out with more confidence, calm, and reassurance

There have been times in my life when going out felt far harder than it looked from the outside.

Not because anything specific was wrong, but because my body felt on edge in busy spaces. Bright lights, waiting rooms, unfamiliar places — sometimes the anxiety would appear without warning.

I’ve sat through hospital appointments on my own with my heart racing, quietly talking myself through it with breath, grounding, and focus.

Those experiences taught me something important.

Most people don’t need pushing through things they find hard.
They need someone steady beside them while they do it.

This support exists for a wide range of moments. Appointments, errands, social plans, and also the gentler stuff — like trying a new hobby, heading out for a walk, or rediscovering things you used to enjoy before life became all about other people’s needs.

I love supporting people as they build confidence again. Watching someone slowly reconnect with the outdoors, find enjoyment in getting out and about, or feel brave enough to try something new after a long period of holding everything together.

When we go out together, there’s no rush and no pressure. We move at your pace. I’ll chat when distraction helps, sit quietly when silence feels safer, and follow your lead rather than forcing conversation or momentum.

This support is never about “getting it over with”. It’s about making the experience feel manageable — and even enjoyable.

When sessions end, I want you to feel a sense of achievement, gently reassured, and a little more confident about the next time. Not fixed. Not pushed. Just supported enough to keep going.

What appointments & outings support can look like

This support is flexible and shaped around what feels helpful for you. Some sessions are practical, some are more emotional, and many are a mix of both.

This support may include:

-Attending medical, wellbeing, or personal appointments together

-Sitting with you in waiting rooms so you’re not on your own

-Supporting you to prepare what you want to say beforehand, if that helps

-Walking and talking to ease anxiety or settle the nervous system

-Outings such as coffee shops, parks, museums, or gentle days out

-Trying new hobbies or revisiting things you used to enjoy

-Attending social plans, parties, or events you don’t want to go to alone

The focus is always on support and presence, not rushing or pushing.

This support may be right for you if…

You feel anxious or unsettled in public spaces

Appointments feel overwhelming or draining

You’ve spent a long time being everything for everyone else

You want to get back out into the world, but gently

You’d like support that feels calm rather than clinical

You don’t need a specific reason to want company. Sometimes it’s simply easier not to do things alone.

How this support is offered
