Homes don’t become overwhelming overnight.
Clutter and mess usually build quietly, while life is busy, exhausting, or emotionally heavy. When you’re juggling work, family, health, or just trying to get through the day, things like tidying, cleaning, and organising often fall to the bottom of the list. Before you know it, your home no longer feels restful — it feels like another thing asking something from you.
I’ve supported many people who felt embarrassed about their homes before anyone even walked through the door. And I want to say this clearly: this isn’t about laziness or failure. It’s often about doing your best while carrying too much.
This kind of support is about changing how being in your home feels, not about creating perfection.
I work side by side with you, gently and respectfully. We start small. One drawer, one surface, one room — whatever feels manageable. There’s no rushing, no judgement, and no pressure to “finish” anything in one go.
Sometimes the hardest part isn’t the physical work — it’s finding the energy or knowing where to start. Other times, it’s the emotional weight attached to belongings or the feeling of being stuck. I’m there for all of that too.
This isn’t about me coming in and sorting or cleaning your home for you.
It’s about doing it together, in a way that feels supportive rather than overwhelming.
When sessions end, I want your home to feel calmer — and for you to feel more capable, steadier, and less alone with it all.
This support adapts to where you’re at emotionally and practically. Some sessions are hands-on, some are slower and more reflective, and many are a mix of both.
This support may include:
-Decluttering one small area at a time, at a pace that feels safe
-Sitting together while you talk through decisions around belongings
-Supporting you with emotionally difficult items or long-standing clutter
-Creating calmer, more usable spaces that support everyday life
Side-by-side cleaning support may also include:
-Dusting, hoovering, or wiping down surfaces together
-Helping tackle areas that feel too much to manage alone
-Supporting you to reset rooms so they feel cleaner and easier to be in
-Working alongside you to gently catch up after periods of illness, burnout, or low energy
This is not a cleaning service. The focus is on support, encouragement, and shared effort — with you present and involved throughout.
Where it feels helpful, this support can also include doing the follow-through together:
-Accompanying you to donation drop-offs or car boot sales as part of the process
-Supporting you through letting go, rather than leaving things half-done
All of this is done alongside you, not for you, and only as part of the wider support we’ve agreed together.
Your home feels overwhelming or heavy
You don’t know where to start
Everyday cleaning feels hard to manage alone
You’ve been putting this off for a long time
You want support without judgement, pressure, or shame
You don’t need to be at crisis point to need support. Often, this work is simply about making your home feel more comfortable and supportive again.
Home, decluttering, and cleaning support is offered on a flexible, short-term basis, rather than as an ongoing or regular arrangement.
This is collaborative support. I work alongside you, not instead of you. I’m happy to help guide the process and do much of the thinking, as long as you are involved and engaged at your own pace.
Support can be requested up to one month in advance, and each request is considered individually to ensure it feels manageable and appropriate.
