Sometimes life doesn’t fall apart. It just quietly becomes too much.

Personal Support is calm, in-person support for everyday life. It is practical and emotional, and always offered side by side. This support is for when starting alone feels hard, or when you would simply feel better not doing it on your own.

There is no rushing, no judgement, and no pressure to have everything worked out before you reach out.

You’ll be asked to share what you’re looking for and a few dates and times that could work for you.

How this support came to be...

I came into this work after spending over thirteen years working in childcare.

For a long time, I was supporting children, families, and teams while juggling long hours, high responsibility, and the emotional weight that comes with caring for others.

Like many people in caring roles, I became very good at coping, adapting, and keeping things going, even when it came at the expense of my own wellbeing.

Work and home life gradually blurred into one. Boundaries were hard to hold, rest was none existent, and there was very little space left to simply pause.

Burnout did not arrive suddenly. It built slowly, through constant responsibility, lack of balance, and the expectation to keep going regardless of how tired I felt.

Stepping away from that chapter gave me space to reflect on what support actually looks like when people are overwhelmed, stretched thin, and quietly carrying too much.

What I realised was that most people are not struggling because they are incapable or disorganised. They are struggling because they are overloaded — emotionally, mentally, and practically — often without enough support or space to stop and reset.

That understanding is what shaped Personal Support at Soul Centred Wellness Hub. Through my own past experiences and from speaking with my clients, friends, family or people in the community.

Availability and booking approach

Personal Support at Soul Centred is offered on a flexible, short-term basis.

This support is not designed for regular, fixed slots such as weekly or set-day arrangements. I do not hold ongoing weekly bookings for individuals or families, and no single person or family can take up a recurring spot.

Each request is considered individually, based on the type of support needed, timing, and what feels sustainable for everyone involved.

To allow space for my own life and family, all Personal Support sessions can be requested up to one month in advance only. This helps keep the work calm, present, and balanced, rather than over-scheduled or rushed.

If you’re looking for ongoing or long-term regular support, this service may not be the right fit. If you’re looking for flexible, supportive help when life feels heavier or you need an extra pair of hands alongside you, you’re very welcome to reach out.

What side-by-side support means

Side-by-side support is exactly what it sounds like. It means working together in a way that feels respectful, steady, and manageable.

I don’t come in to take over your life, rush through tasks, or push you to do more than feels possible. I work alongside you, supporting you as you take things one step at a time.

Some sessions involve practical support. Others hold more emotional space. Most naturally include a mix of both. The pace is led by you, and there is no expectation to achieve a certain amount in a set time.

This way of working recognises that when life feels overwhelming, pressure often makes things harder. Support works best when it feels calm, collaborative, and human.

This support is not about handing everything over or being “sorted out” by someone else. It is about having support while you do the things that feel hard to face alone.

That might mean starting small. It might mean taking breaks. It might mean changing plans part way through a session. All of that is okay.

Pricing & practicalities

Personal Support is charged based on the type of support requested. All pricing is discussed and confirmed after your enquiry, before anything is booked.

Babysitting:
Prices start from £15 per hour for one child.
An additional hourly rate applies for extra children, depending on ages and the type of support required.

Pricing is confirmed after enquiry, before any booking is agreed.

All other personal support services:
Prices start
from £25 per hour.

This includes routine and wellbeing support, home and decluttering support (including side-by-side cleaning), appointments and outings, company and emotional support, and working life or small business support.

A minimum booking of 2 hours applies across all Personal Support services. This allows time to settle into sessions without rushing and helps keep the support calm and effective.

Payment is made in advance by bank transfer once details are agreed and your session is confirmed.

Any additional costs, such as travel, entry fees, or activity costs, will always be discussed and agreed beforehand.

I don’t offer refunds, but I understand that plans can change, so I’m happy to offer one date change where possible. Further changes would need to be booked as a new session.

Support is offered locally. Travel outside my usual area may incur an additional charge and is discussed in advance.

Support does not include heavy lifting or physically demanding tasks.

This support offers presence and companionship, but it is not a substitute for therapy or medical care.
